WESSEX CANCER SUPPORT
www.www.wessexcancer.org.uk

The Brief:

When the Head of Marketing and the charities CEO met with me, they explained that they wanted to review their brand identity and appeal and engagement.

As a charity, every pound needs to work very hard and so we worked collaboratively to find a cost-effective solution to review the brand through focus groups, stakeholder interviews etc and come up with a brand refresh that would lead the charity into its next decade and beyond.

Deliverables included a new logo and brand guidelines document, social media and print collateral, video content and signage designs across their shops and centres.

ACTIVE8 MINDS
www.active8minds.co.uk
The Brief:

Active8 Minds is a childrens childcare provider in based in Hampshire and Surrey, providing before and after school clubs, school holiday clubs and a range of community based sports and activities for both children and adults. The business has ambitious plans to expand nationwide.

When managing director and business founder Dan Janowski approached me, he was looking for a cost effective marketing solution that could review and refesh his social media output (photography, video and design work), as well as strategic support with their expansion plans across the UK.

INNOVATIONS FITNESS
www.innovationsfitness.co.uk

The Brief:

George (Topsy) Turner is an ex-Navy PT who now runs a very successful Boot Camp fitness business at the heart of the community in Emsworth, Hampshire. Despite many years of success with his Boot Camp classes, post Covid, Topsy felt his marketing and communications needed a refresh and re-boot.

After an in-depth audit of his current branding and website, I made recommendations that we overhaul his brand to be clearer and more motivational for his clients to engage with. A new logo, new website and complete brand refresh followed. That was back in 2021 and I am happy to still be working with Topsy and his team on the continued growth and development of Innovations Fitness.

So popular, his new brand has now expanded into sales of branded apparrel/sportswear.

LIMBO TECH
www.limbotech.co.uk
The Brief:

The Limbo Tech brief was a really exciting one to get. The owner of the business was evolving his business focus and wanted to do a complete rebrand from his existing style to reflect the new direction.

With its roots in digital content in education and the arts, motion capture and virtual/augmented reality the challenge was to come up with a brand design, logo and website that immediately captured the essence of the brands new purpose and story.

JDC Environmental Contractors
www.jdcenvironmentalcontractors.co.uk

The Brief:

I was recommended to John & Jamie of JDC Environmental Contractors by an existing client of mine. They were pretty fed up having previously invested a lot of time, energy and money in one of 'those' pre-packaged/off-the-shelf website design companies (who will remain nameless!) and had had enough of talking to a uninterested call centre team who knew and cared little about their business.

We quickly set about creating a brand new website and social media strategy that would showcase their business to customers and create a social media strategy to get them noticed.

RJB Builders Ltd

www.rjbbuildersltd.co.uk

The Brief:

Quite a few clients come to me with the website basics set up, like domain registration and maybe even a partially built site or holding page. But available time and technical experience can bring their self-build attempts to a crashing halt. The very lovely Russ from RJB Builders Ltd was a similar case. He'd started things off, but not quite got the polished/finished site he wanted.

In the midst of a national Coronavirus pandemic lockdown, we worked together over email and phone calls to share ideas, thoughts and content. And despite working remotely from one another, we came up with a site that I am really proud of.

Southbourne Farm Shop

www.southbournefarmshop.co.uk

The Brief:

I first worked with the Bulbeck family on their website and marketing strategy back in 2017. In Summer 2020, they returned to me to refresh and update their website into a system that had greater technological opportunities to support some of the innovations they had made within their bustling and busy farm shop business and want to make in future.

The new website launched at the end of June 2020 and takes much of its creative direction from the 2017 site, but backed by a much more dynamic hosting platform which will future proof their website for many years to come.

The Bosham Boathouse B&B, West Sussex

wwwtheboshamboathouse.co.uk

The Brief:

Following a long held dream to own and run a B&B, Jane & Hamish took ownership of this local B&B business. The couple decided to make extensive changes to the rooms and wanted a website and rebrand that reflected the new look business.

With a keen eye for interior design the brief was to make the most of the Farrow & Ball colour palette in the rooms, using 'Stiffkey' blue at its core and make the website and new logo/branding an extension of their property and rooms.

The Richmond Arms, West Sussex

www.therichmondarms.co.uk

The Brief:

Emma and Jack, owners of The Richmond Arms in West Ashling came to me to totally overhaul their website, which had served them well, but had become rather out of date.

Together we came up with a new colour palette that was more representative and decided to invest in a brand new bank of food and interior photography so that we could tell the story of their business a little better.

Lloyds Tree Surgery

www.lloydstreesurgery.com

The Brief:

Lo and Lloyd came to me to update their website, which was looking a little tired, dated and not representative of their flourishing tree surgery business in West Sussex and Hampshire.

The new site harnesses the colour palette, fonts and style of their previous website, but evolves it, moves it on to be web ready for their next decade of business with links to their social accounts and optimisation for viewing on multiple screens and devices.

TVR Electrical Services, Hampshire

www.tvrelectrical.co.uk

The Brief:

Having originally built his own website, which had worked well for a number of years, Trevor felt it was time to upgrade and get a new website that would work harder for his growing business.

In addition, working together we decided that his branding needed to be reviewed to better represent his business and be rolled out across his new site, new social media channels, staff uniforms and vans. The addition of the contrasting orange and electrical V in his new branding gives a striking sense of his business purpose and real logo standout.

The Narrow Boat, Northamptonshire

www.narrowboatatweedon.co.uk

The Brief:

Karen and Richard, the owners of this popular pub and restaurant with accommodation in Northamptonshire, came to me initially to conduct a mystery shopper, customer journey review on their business.

Following my report I was commissioned to implement some of the recommendations around their marketing activity including a marketing audit, the build of a brand website, social media review and training session with the in house team tasked with future marketing activity.

The owner of this franchised puppy training and dog behaviour school approached me to redevelop their website and refine aspects of their fledgling social media platforms. Their existing website was an out of date self-build site that had served its purpose well, but with a rapidly growing business, it was time to improve their web and social presence. As a franchise of the national Puppy School company the site needed to reflect the look and feel of the national master brand, whilst still having the feel of a local, independent small business.

OPSKiC Group, London

www.opskicgroup.com

The Brief:

This client came to me with the ambition to build a property development business ... with a difference. OPSKiC Group aims to develop property with a pro-social and ethical entrepreneurial spirit. My brief was to build the brand from the foundations up, including brand values, mission statement, logo design and website.

It has been exciting, creatively challenging and an inspiring project to work on and the resulting work I am very proud of.

Streets Electrical, West Sussex

www.streetselectrical.co.uk

The Brief:

Streets Electrical came to me with no web or social media presence at all. They were aware that to grow the business further they needed to get a good basic online presence that showcased the quality of their work, as well as demonstrate their accreditation as qualified electricians.

Their only existing branding was the colour of their van (green) with some simple lettering, which I was able to use as my start point, building up a brand a website and brand from that.

Goddard & Grant, Oxfordshire

The Brief:

Goddard & Grant, a recruitment consultancy business, approached me to build their website. They came to me with some branding that needed to be translated into their first, full site.

Taking inspiration from the logo they had already had designed and some of the pitch presentations they shared with me, I was able to build a site that used bold graphical icons and their orange brand colour palette.

Budgens is a network of franchised supermarkets across the UK. The Islington branch has a very affluent and young professional customer base, which is quite different to many other stores in their group. The store recently rebranded to the new Budgens livery as well as invested in new food to go concessions, therefore they asked me to consult for them, providing project management on their signage refit and a wide mix of relaunch marketing support covering social media, print and developing partnerships with various suppliers and producers.

What began as a month-long project has now evolved into an on-going marketing consultancy partnership with the store.

In April 2018 they won 'Start Up of the Year' in the Chichester business awards and I am incredibly proud to have played my part in helping Chandler & Hall develop and grow.
